Property Market Saw Busiest May in Four Years
May 2025 saw the busiest UK property sales since 2021, despite market challenges

The highest number of agreed property sales in a single month since March 2022, coupled with the busiest May since 2021, reveals that many home-movers are pressing ahead with their plans despite the increased financial pressures experienced by some buyers in April. Across Great Britain, sales agreed are currently 6% higher than this time last year, although regional variations exist.
