I began to gain my wealth of experience  in 1976 with one of the largest independent estate agents in the  Middlesex area. In 1979 I became the  manager of the South Harrow office which became the top performing agency in the group of 12 offices.  During this time  became a professionally qualified  Valuer and Surveyor and am now a fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

In the late 1980’s our company like many others was bought out by a major corporate and I found it extremely frustrating running an office controlled by a head office located hundreds of miles away with no real local knowledge and understanding of the local market, as is still the case today.
My  sights were  firmly set on opening my own office with a yearning to once again be able to provide a professional, flexible, friendly service that only a good Independent agent can offer.

From this desire, at last in 1992 I opened David Conway & Company and we quickly established ourselves as the leading agent in the area. Our dedication and hard work was rewarded in 1994 when we were selected as the "Best Local Agent" by PHH Relocation which became ‘Cendant’ (now Cartus)  the largest  relocation company in the world.  As a result of this up to today we are proud members of the “Home Sale Network“ made up of the top 720 selected ‘Best of the Best’ selected independent agents in the UK. 

In 1998 we were nominated for the then Cendant Cup the top award achievable for a network member placing us as one of the top six independent agents in the UK. An accolade we are justly proud of.

In 2002 we expanded our services to include the Overseas Market. specializing firstly in off plan developments & resale properties on Spain’s Costa Del Sol. We can now source properties from many overseas developers across the world.

Our Land, Development & New Homes department headed by Associate Tony Seeney has unrivalled local experience in the marketing of new developments. Our office has successfully secured instructions on the majority of all the new developments offered to the market in our area working closely with major developers such as W E Black, Clearview Homes, Ian J Tait Homes, Persimmon Homes and Galliard Homes to name but a few.

My wife Eunice and I are proud to have welcomed our son James into the business in 2009. James has proven to be an outstanding asset to the company. We have a clear plan of expansion & are actively looking for a second office to be headed by James.  The new office will provide a vital link to our existing office further enhancing the high level of service already provided to the areas surrounding the new office.
